Museong Pambidyo Games

This year we are celebrating the 150th birthday of Jose Rizal. For people who forgot history, he’s this guy.

As part of the Museum’s directive to celebrate Filipino creativity in the Video Game medium, we would like to challenge the game making community to make a video game about him. Anything from his body of work, his personal life, political beliefs, to his divine origins.

Developers can choose any digital platform (no board games and ARGs, for now) and will retain all ownership and rights to their creations.

To Enter:

• Submit a photo/video/link to this site about your team and your game on or before Friday, June 17, 2011.
• Participants are encouraged (though not required) to make a timelapse video of the development process. Try Chronolapse or Gawker.

Judging:

• Participants will be asked to present their games at [a yet undetermined location] on June 18.
• Anyone present on the venue can vote on their best game. (It’s a popularity thing) 

Awards:

• [If anyone else is willing to sponsor] Otherwise, we’ll be awarding simple tokens like a t-shirt or something. Because the best award is the game itself :)
• Winning games will be posted here (if the creators permit) and immortalized for eternity

Come let us celebrate the birth of the First Filipino. Let us make a game!
